Notification: Vacancy of Research Fellow and Technical staff It is informed that there is vacancy of following temporary posts in the Research Program entitle “Threatened status assessment and ecorestoration of endemic tree species and ecosystems in the Western Ghats” at the Extension centre of Western Ghats Hornbill Foundation in the Research Department of Botany MES Asmabi College, Kodungallur, Thrissur, Kerala, India. It is a joint program of Western Ghats Hornbill Foundation and MES Asmabi College supporting IUCN SSC, BMC, FD & LSGs. Last date of application is 25th October 2021. Duration : Shall be of three months initially and extendable upto 1-3 years based on performance. The selection procedure shall be as follows due to Covid situation 1. Species status assessment using IUCN criteria ii. Niche modelling iii. Ecorestoration iv. Phytosociological studies on forest /sacred groves /coastal ecosystems v.Threatened species studies vi. Mapping of ecosystems B. Office Assistant +2 or equivalent or above Computer experience : i. typing speed ii. mass media, website management/Data entry/DTP/Mapping C. Field Assistant +2 or equivalent or above Essential : i. landscape/nursery/forest plants identification – experience ii.
